  • Master surgical flap designs and manipulation protocols that preserve microvascular supply and minimize tissue tension during healing and repair. 

  • Develop step-by-step management and revision strategies for compromised surgical sites to re-establish primary closure and promote tissue recovery. 

  • Implement optimal pharmacologic, biological, and maintenance protocols to support tissue regeneration and accelerate wound resolution. 

  • Formulate proactive prevention strategies during initial treatment planning to significantly reduce the incidence of soft tissue complications.

Unexpected soft tissue complications, from flap dehiscence and tissue necrosis to severe recession and aesthetic loss, can compromise even the most meticulously planned surgical procedures. In this targeted virtual clinic, Dr. Farhad Boltchi provides clinicians with a clear framework for diagnosing, preventing, and correcting post-surgical soft tissue complications.
 
Dr. Boltchi will break down the primary etiologies behind tissue breakdown, offer step-by-step revision protocols, and share soft tissue handling techniques that preserve blood supply during revision procedures. Attendees will gain practical, real-world solutions to resolve adverse healing events quickly, restore tissue architecture, and protect overall treatment success.

Dr. Farhad Boltchi, DMD, MS

Dr. Farhad Boltchi, DMD, MS, is a Board-Certified Periodontist with extensive clinical and academic expertise in periodontics, implantology, and restorative dentistry. Raised in Bonn, Germany, he earned his D.M.D. degree from the Medical University of Hannover, where he also completed initial postgraduate training and served as an assistant professor and full-time faculty member in the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Periodontology. He later moved to Texas to complete a Master of Science in Oral Biology and a Certificate in Periodontics at the Baylor College of Dentistry. In addition to running a full-time private periodontics practice in Arlington, Texas, Dr. Boltchi has served as a faculty member for both Baylor College of Dentistry's Department of Graduate Periodontics and Spear Education/CEREC Doctors.

Driven by a passion for technology, Dr. Boltchi continually integrates the latest dental advancements into his practice to enhance patient care and outcomes. He maintains active German and Texas dental licenses along with a Texas Sedation-Anesthesia permit, ensuring comprehensive care for his patients.
